Part Time - Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating external communications for both LEAD PA and LEAD PA Institute.  The Coordinator reports jointly to the LEAD PA Executive Outreach Director and the LEAD PA Executive Training Director, and works closely with the organizations’ boards of directors as well as other progressive infrastructure staff.  This position is part-time and fully remote, with an expected time commitment of ten (10) hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage LEAD PA and LEAD PA Institute websites;

  • Manage LEAD PA’s and LEAD PA Institute’s social media presence; 

  • Create and edit synchronous posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that are responsive to current news, issues, trends, etc. 

  • Create, submit for approval, and schedule a predetermined social media content calendar weekly; 

  • Advertise LEAD PA and LEAD PA Institute training programs;

  • Correspond via email, text, and/or telephone with applicants to our training programs, including sending calendar invites, agendas, worksheets, etc;

  • Maintain and manage LEAD PA and LEAD PA Institute email listserv;

  • Draft, submit for approval, and publish a monthly newsletter;

  • Conduct alumni interviews, draft, submit for approval, and publish alumni biographical stories;

Experience and Skills

  • Direct experience utilizing google office suite and shared drives, including calendar and gmail, google docs, google forms, google sheets, and google slides is required;

  • Experience with social media engagement, and organized digital communications is required;

  • Experience editing and updating documents, spreadsheets and other information management software and systems is required;

  • Experience interviewing live subjects is required; 

  • Experience drafting biographical content (articles, books, essays, etc) is required;

    Compensation Package Includes:

  • HOURLY WAGE: The hourly wage for this part-time, remote position is $25-$30 per hour depending upon experience.  The expected time commitment is ten (10) hours per week, but may be adjusted to fifteen (15) hours per week based upon volume.

  • CELL PHONE STIPEND: A monthly stipend of $70 will be paid for work use of personal cell phones. 

  • INTERNET STIPEND:  A monthly stipend of $50 will be paid to all full and part-time employees who work remotely.
